Born and raised in Southern California during the turbulent 60’s and the self-indulgent 70’s, I began playing drums at the age of 9 and was in my first band at 11. Playing music through all of my high school years, I was the timekeeper in such notable ensembles as Etcetera Rock Revival, Mantis and The Phlaix and I still managed to graduate from Occidental College in 1982. After moving to Austin in 1984 I soon joined the arriving Austin music scene and started playing with Asleep At The Wheel in 1986. During a two-year hiatus from The Wheel, I formed my own record company, Lazy S.O.B. Recording and soon after started Texas Music Round-Up, a distribution company for independently released Texas Music. I was recently married to Elizabeth McQueen and am living Happily Ever After!
