What have you lost on the road that you would most like to retrieve? Grey leather boots I left in the closet of the hotel in NYC. I wonder if they’re still there?

I was in all of them, in the pit orchestra. I was drafted in the 7th grade

What type of music do you dislike the most? Gangster Rap

All time favorite Saturday Night Live character? Eddie Murphy as James Brown in the hot tub. I really like Cheri Oteri too!

One thing you’ve learned from the band elder: Jim Murphy? Grow facial hair if possible.

I was a skinny, geeky kid from southern California who couldn’t throw or catch a ball, so I took up music. I learned several horns but discovered that bass is the instrument for me. I played as much as possible in school and in rock bands on Saturday nights. I made the switch to country music around 1985 and have spent my entire life doing just that. Now, I have 1.5 million miles behind me, and I’ve met some really great people along the way.
